Chengdu Universiade postponed for second time

The forthcoming World University Games in the Chinese city of Chengdu have been postponed until next year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) has announced.

The biennial event was scheduled to take place in Chengdu from June 26 to July 7. However, it has been postponed until next year because of the ongoing uncertainty caused by Covid-19 infections in China.
