CCTV shows coverage of F1’s Austrian Grand Prix with rights deal reportedly on horizon

Chinese state broadcaster CCTV over the weekend showed its first coverage of this year's Formula 1 season, with local media reporting that a new rights deal is being finalised.

CCTV showed coverage of the qualifying and main race from the Austrian Grand Prix. The state broadcaster has shown recent Formula 1 seasons but a deal was not agreed in time for the start of the 2022 season.
