CBA league appoints Zhang Xiong as CEO

The Chinese Basketball Association League Sports Company has appointed Zhang Xiong as its new chief executive.

Xiong has worked with the league since 2017, when the CBA League Sports Company was founded, and was previously in charge of competitive issues. He replaces Wang Dawei who resigned in July citing personal reasons, after only a year in the job.
