Canal Plus has lost its appeal against the French Football League (LFP), which the pay-television broadcaster had accused of abusing a dominant position during the sales process for rights to Ligue 1.

The Paris Court of Appeal has rejected Canal Plus’ claims, according to L’Équipe. The decision means that the LFP has succeeded in all the appeals brought against it following the termination of its deal with the Mediapro agency and the subsequent resale of the rights to Amazon. It also enforces a ruling made by the French competition regulator.
