Golf equipment manufacturer Callaway has prolonged its sponsorship of the PGA of Australia by renewing its backing for the long-running Australian pro-am team event, the Volkswagen Scramble.
As part of the deal, Australia’s member-based organisation will provide Callaway with engagement opportunities at over 400 Volkswagen Scramble events taking place during the 2020-21 season.
Callaway will also be able to activate its sponsorship by engaging with Australian golf fans via the PGA of Australia’s digital platforms.
Michael McDonald, commercial director of the PGA of Australia, said: “We are excited that Callaway will be part of the 2020-2021 Volkswagen Scramble season and provide a range of benefits for our Scramble participants and PGA Professionals. The partnership will enable the PGA to continue to develop this popular team’s event, which is seeing strong demand with the increasing popularity of golf due to Covid-19.”
Callaway is one of a dozen PGA of Australia Partners in the sponsorship tier beneath the six ‘Major Partners’ (Adidas, Ladbrokes, RACV, TAG Heuer, Titleist and FootJoy) and five ‘Premier Partners’ (ISPS Handa, Tourism & Events Queensland, the city of Brisbane, Volkswagen and Coca-Cola Amatil).
