Clubs from Germany’s two Bundesliga divisions have today (Wednesday) decided to break off talks over private equity investment in a new league entity that would hold a licence to commercialise their international media and sponsorship rights for 25 years.
Having been the subject of private equity interest in a new subsidiary, clubs met at the German Football League (DFL) Member Assembly to discuss the offers for a minority shareholding.
