British Rowing has extended its contract with global analytics partner SAS.

The deal will now run until December 2021, meaning it will cover the rescheduled 2021 Olympic Games and Paralympics in Tokyo.

A renewal had previously been signed in 2018 which had been due to expire in December 2020.

As part of the agreement, SAS provides its analytics services to British Rowing to help inform decisions across the whole organisation.

This includes areas such as membership analysis, competition ranking algorithms and performance data analysis.

Andy Parkinson, British Rowing chief executive, said: Through this partnership, we’ve been able to significantly accelerate our understanding of our data and build infrastructure that is now helping us make decisions and optimise our long‐term strategy.”

SAS is a top-tier official partners of British Rowing, alongside Mizuno, MSC Nutrition, Visit Sarasota County and Pulsant.
