Brisbane confirmed as 2032 Olympic Games host, polling 72 votes

Brisbane has been confirmed as the host of the 2032 Olympic Games after it was voted in at the 138th International Olympic Committee Session in Tokyo today (Wednesday).

The announcement of the host for the 35th Olympiad was made by IOC president Thomas Bach after the Queensland city received the backing of IOC members on the eve of the delayed Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
