Boston to host 2016 World Figure Skating Championships

The International Skating Union (ISU) has announced preliminary dates and venues for various events in 2015 and 2016, with Boston awarded the World Figure Skating Championships in 2016.

The skating governing body’s council also awarded its 2015 World Synchronised Skating Championships to Hamilton, Canada.

The World Figure Skating Championships in Boston will be held from March 28 to April 3, 2016. Boston hosted the 2013 World Synchronised Skating Championships in April and is also set to host the 2014 US Figure Skating Championships, the final qualifying event before the 2014 Olympic winter Games in Sochi.
