Polska Liga Siatkówki, which operates PlusLiga, Poland’s top volleyball league, has signed up bookmaker STS as a sponsor.

The agreement will run for four at least four seasons, from 2019-20 until 2022-23.

Under the terms of the deal, STS will be an official partner and the official bookmaker of PlusLiga, with its logo set to appear at every game on fixed and LED perimeter boards and on media interview backdrops.

STS will receive exposure via the league’s website and social media channels, with the bookmaker also set to organise fan zones for selected games, as well as offer special betting products on certain contests.

Additionally, the operator will have tickets to distribute to fans for every fixture and will work with the league and its clubs on joint marketing campaigns.

The deal represents the first time STS has become a partner of a top-tier league, even though chief executive Mateusz Juroszek claims that the company is the largest private sponsor of Polish sport.

“The agreement with Polska Liga Siatkówki is part of the plan to cooperate with the most recognisable sports brands, and PlusLiga is definitely such a brand,” Juroszek said.

STS, which is Poland’s largest bookmaker, is already an official partner of seven clubs from Polish football’s top-tier Ekstraklasa, as well as the country’s national football team.

In July, when the operator extended its partnership deal with Ekstraklasa club KS Cracovia until June 2022, Juroszek said that STS had more than a dozen sports clubs, organisations and associations on its sponsorship roster – in Poland and abroad.

In February, STS announced plans to expand its core brand from Poland into a number of regulated European markets, with the operator targeting the UK and Germany in particular.
