The finals of the Billie Jean King Cup tennis event, originally scheduled for April, will now be held later in the year amid continued health and safety concerns caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The finals of the tournament formerly known as the Fed Cup had been due to take place in the Hungarian capital of Budapest from April 13-18. Play-off ties for the tournament will be held in April as originally scheduled but the International Tennis Federation (ITF) said that new dates for the finals would be announced shortly.
