Top-flight Spanish football club Sevilla is in advanced negotiations over a shirt sponsorship deal with online betting operator Betway, it has been claimed.
Betway has submitted an offer worth €5m ($5.4m) per year, according to Spain’s Palco23.
If a deal is completed then Betway would replace rival online betting firm Marathonbet as the club’s shirt sponsor from the 2020-21 season onwards.
Marathonbet became Sevilla’s shirt sponsor at the start of the 2019-20 campaign in a deal that was initially set to run for two seasons.
Betway already has sponsorship deals in place with Spanish football’s Alavés, Levante UD and CD Leganés. The online bookmaker is the shirt sponsor of English Premier League side West Ham United in a deal running until 2025.
In November, LaLiga giants Real Madrid signed its first regional partner in Russia in a deal with Marathonbet.
