UK bookmaker Betfred has agreed a one-year extension to its title sponsorship of the World Snooker Championship.

The deal was announced yesterday (Sunday) as this year’s event came to a close with Ronnie O’Sullivan defeating Kyren Wilson 18-8 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, England. Betfred last year extended its deal with World Snooker through to at least 2021, and has now ensured the contract will run until at least 2022.
