Turkish football club Beşiktaş has signed kitchen appliance and consumer electronics brand Beko as its new front-of-shirt sponsor.

The deal will run for two seasons, beginning with the 2020-21 campaign.

News agency Anadolu Agency reports that Beko will pay TRY21m (€2.8m, $3.1m) per season.

Global telco Vodafone is the outgoing front-of-shirt sponsor, but retains the naming rights to the club’s stadium.

The Turkish company was the club’s front-of-shirt sponsor between 1990 and 2004. The two organisations also held a sponsorship agreement from 2014 with the Beko logo afforded visibility on the back of the club’s shirt.

For Beko, the news extends its influence in football. The brand already holds the sleeve sponsorship rights with Spanish giants FC Barcelona, as well as the designation of official training sponsor of the club, which affords it visibility on the front of the LaLiga side’s training wear.
