Luxembourg-based media company RTL Group has elected to retain its controlling stake in French commercial broadcaster M6, despite receiving what it states were “several financially attractive offers”.
German media conglomerate Bertelsmann, the majority shareholder of M6 through RTL, last month said it was exploring the sale of the French commercial broadcaster following the collapse of its proposed merger with TF1.
