Pay-television operator beIN Sports has acquired media rights to the FIM Speedway Grand Prix World Championship in a season-long agreement with new event promotor Discovery Sports Events, the global promotion and event arm of the Warner Bros. Discovery media group.

The deal covers Cambodia, East Timor, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand, as well as the US. Discovery Sports Events said the inclusion of the US in the agreement is the first step towards bringing a Speedway GP World Championship round to the country.
