BBC lands Champions League highlights as BT pays £305m per year for bulk of Uefa rights

UK public-service broadcaster the BBC has acquired highlights rights to the Uefa Champions League for the first time, while pay-television broadcaster BT Sport has announced an extended deal for the bulk of live matches and streaming service Amazon Prime Video will have the first pick of Tuesday-night fixtures.

The BBC will show highlights from 10pm on Wednesdays on TV, the BBC iPlayer and on the BBC Sport website and app. Clips will also be shown online and on social media.
