FC Barcelona has outlined the timeline for construction work on its Camp Nou stadium, with the LaLiga club set to spend the 2023-24 season at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys while the project is carried out.

The Camp Nou is set to undergo a series of upgrades as part of Barcelona’s €1.5bn ($1.59bn) Espai Barça project, which was approved by club members in December. Work on expanding the stadium’s capacity to around 105,000 will begin in June after a permit was awarded by Barcelona City Council’s Governing Commission yesterday (Thursday).
