Band, TV Brasil ‘in negotiations’ over Série B rights

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is said to be holding talks with public broadcaster TV Brasil and commercial broadcaster Band over rights to Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, the second tier of domestic club football.

The CBF has been encountering difficulties in securing a new main rights-holder for Série B after previous partner, media company Globo, last year signalled it would only be potentially interested in acquiring a package of pay-per-view rights to the league.
