The city of Baltimore has filed a lawsuit to prevent the Preakness Stakes from leaving town after 2020. The Stronach Group, which owns Pimlico Race Course where the Preakness has run since 1873 and a newer track in Anne Arundel County, which is about 30 miles from Baltimore, is trying to evoke state law to move the race.
