Baena to lead commercial growth of Real Madrid TV

Spanish LaLiga football club Real Madrid has appointed Javier Baena as the new commercial manager of its in-house television channel, according to Palco23.

The Spanish sports business news website reported that Baena will join Real from LaLiga, for whom he works as an audiovisual assistant.

The club is set to revamp its Real Madrid TV channel and Palco23 reports that Baena will prove crucial in helping the club further grow the platform around the world.

Palco23, citing sources close to the matter, reported that Baena will join the club itself and not the Mediapro agency, which manages Real Madrid TV.

Baena joined LaLiga in April 2016 and has previously worked for Mediapro as a commercial director.
