The Australian Open Grand Slam tennis tournament will welcome fans back to arenas tomorrow (Thursday) after the state government in Victoria confirmed that its Covid-19 lockdown would end at midnight.

The Australian Open began on February 8 with a limited number of fans in attendance but the tournament was forced behind closed doors on Saturday following an outbreak of Covid-19 in Melbourne. Full refunds were offered for fans who had tickets on the days affected by the shutdown.
