Auckland Open to return in January, Lamperin appointed as tournament director

The Auckland Open will return to the international tennis calendar next year for the first time since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic, Tennis Auckland and Tennis New Zealand announced today (Tuesday).

The tournament, which comprises separate men’s and women’s events, is set to be staged from January 2 to 14, shortly before the start of the Australian Open, which is likely to begin on January 16.
