Men’s tennis governing body, the ATP, has signed up Marriott International’s global travel programme Marriot Bonvoy as a sponsor for its upcoming ATP Finals event.
The deal will see the brand grant its members the opportunity to experience behind-the-scenes access, player meet-and-greets and hospitality in Marriott’s luxury suite at London’s 02 arena, where the finals are held.
This year’s edition of the season-ending event takes place November 10-17 and features the ATP Tour’s top-performing singles and doubles players from 2019.
The tournament has been played in London since 2009. This will continue through to 2020, before it moves to Turin in 2021.
In April, SportBusiness Professional reported that the ATP preferred to sign the five-year contract to move the event to Italy because it offered stronger financial guarantees than the London hosting model, which was subject to fluctuations in the sponsorship market.
Japanese materials manufacturer Nitto has been the ATP Finals title sponsor since 2017, with its contract also expiring in 2020.
