ATP and WTA hit out at Wimbledon’s ban on Russian, Belarusian players

The Association of Tennis Professionals and Women’s Tennis Association have condemned the All England Club’s (AELTC’s) decision to ban Russian and Belarusian players from this year’s Wimbledon Championships, stating they are considering further action over the matter.

The AELTC yesterday (Wednesday) delivered its verdict on the status of Russian and Belarusian players amid the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, after deliberations over the matter ahead of the start of this year’s edition of the grand slam on June 27.
