Athletics Integrity Unit opens up process in transparency drive

The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has today (Friday) detailed a new, transparent mode of operation which will seek to make public every stage of the process behind dealing with a positive doping test.

The initiative was revealed as the AIU reported back on its first year of operation. The AIU is designed to oversee athletics’ anti-doping initiatives and was a key part of International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) president Sebastian Coe’s reform programme that was approved at the IAAF Congress in November 2016.
