Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO) has entered into a strategic partnership with sports events organiser RPM-MKTG that is designed to drive the development of mountain bike event the Titan Desert.
ASO is joining forces with the Spanish company, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network group, to organise the Titan Desert, which is held on an annual basis in Morocco. The two parties said the projects driven by this new alliance include the launch of a Titan World Series of mountain bike races in several countries.
ASO said the Titan Desert ties in with its staging of adventure and cycling events, including the Roc d'Azur mountain bike competition in France.
ASO general manager Yann Le Moenner said: “RPM-MKTG has been one of ASO’s closest partners for many years. This agreement is the next step in our collaboration and the beginning of a wonderful adventure.
“The Titan Desert by Garmin is a one-of-a-kind race that fits in perfectly with our ambition to always offer new experiences to our community of athletes, both in France and abroad.”
Dentsu Aegis Network Iberia & SSA chief executive André de Andrade added: “The experience gained and our recent achievements have proved that our project is robust, and we are now working with the best partner there is, world cycling leader ASO, to turn this event into the biggest MTB stage race.
“The internationalisation of the Titan World Series reflects our group's determination to always fight to become market leaders and is testament to the outstanding work of the RPM-MKTG teams.”
