The National Hockey League's Arizona Coyotes have formally submitted a bid to transform 46 acres of land in the city of Tempe into an arena and mixed-use entertainment district.
The move follows the Coyotes' need to find new venue, beginning with the 2022-23 season, after the city of Glendale cut off lease renewal talks regarding the Gila River Arena.
