Algorand becomes official World Cup blockchain platform

Fifa has signed up blockchain technology company Algorand as a regional supporter of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and an official sponsor of the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

The regional supporter role for the men’s World Cup covers two sponsorship package territories in North America and Europe, while the official sponsorship role for the women’s edition is global.
