The Asian Football Confederation has unanimously approved the establishment of a dedicated AFC Professional Football Task Force to oversee the transformation of the club game on the continent.
The decision by the AFC Executive Committee, meeting as the governing body gathered for its Congress yesterday (Wednesday), was set in motion by the Competitions Committee last year. The task force will "oversee the transformation of Continental club football", an AFC statement said.
