The Asian Football Confederation has confirmed that it has cancelled the Asean Zone matches of the AFC Cup 2021 after not being able to find a host due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Groups G, H and I in addition to the playoff stages have all been cancelled, the AFC said, as it was not able to find a centralised hub to complete the games. The decision means Southeast Asian teams will not take part in this year's competition.
