AFC Asian Cup 2027 host decision delayed until 2022

The bidding process for the AFC Asian Cup 2027 has been pushed back to 2022 due to ongoing challenges around the Covid-19 pandemic, the Asian Football Confederation has confirmed.

Originally scheduled for the upcoming AFC congress in November 2021, the executive committee said that the selection process, which requires travelling to inspect the bidding member associations, would be delayed until next year.
