Dentsu Aegis Network, the multinational media and digital marketing communications company, is to rebrand as Dentsu International Limited.
The company, which is a subsidiary of Japanese advertising giant Dentsu, will operate under the Dentsu brand name.
Dentsu Aegis Network was created after Dentsu bought London-based marketing agency Aegis for £3.16bn ($4.06bn/€3.48bn) in a deal that was completed in 2013.
Wendy Clark, global chief executive of Dentsu International said: “This represents an important milestone in the evolution of our international business as we build on Dentsu’s rich legacy of innovation and industry leadership along with the dynamic growth story of Dentsu Aegis Network.
“Our business provides our clients and our people with the best of both worlds, helping them to achieve meaningful progress against a backdrop of unprecedented change and disruption.”
Among the companies that sit under the Dentsu Aegis Network umbrella are MKTG, a global lifestyle marketing agency involved in organising and promoting sports events. RPM-MKTG, the organiser of events such as the Barcelona Marathon, is also owned by Dentsu Aegis Network.
Earlier this year Dentsu extended its reach in esports, establishing its own division through MKTG.
In 2015, Dentsu Aegis Network was commissioned by the Professional Football League (LFP) in France to find a title sponsor for Ligue 1.
