The Shanghai Half Marathon has ditched plans to give runners Adidas-branded t-shirts for the event, which is to be held this Sunday, in a move thought to be a response to the sportswear brand's stance on cotton production in Xinjiang province, where the cotton for the t-shirts is sourced.
