Italian football club AC Milan has signed a short-term extension to its sponsorship contract with sport, media and entertainment portal StarCasinò.sport.

The association began in 2017 and will run until the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

As part of the agreement, the brand will be afforded visibility during broadcasts of the club’s home matches via LED advertising, as well as on its website.

In addition, there will be a focus on fan engagement via exclusive content as football returns in Italy following its suspension due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

This will include the publication of classic AC Milan archive content and the creation of gamification concepts and fan challenges.

In addition the brand will be granted player and legend access for the creation of its branded content.

The brand is owned by online gambling brand StarCasino, which is based in Belgium.

Under Italian law, clubs are not allowed to activate sponsorship deals with gambling brands within Italy.
