The 2022 Asian Games in in Hangzhou, China has signed Industrial and Commercial Bank of China as its Official Banking Partner.
The local organising committee struck the agreement which will see ICBC provide one-stop banking services to the 19th instalment of the regional multi-sport competition.
This deal builds on ICBC’s past involvement with the Asian Games, with the bank having sponsored the 2010 edition which was held in Guangzhou.
Cai Xiaochun, deputy-secretary general of the People’s Government of Zhejang Province, said: ‘’The partnership has opened up many possibilities for cooperation between the two parties.’’
The local organising committee said it hopes to sign further partnerships in the following sectors: information technology integration, cloud services, financial technology services and air passenger services.
It was recently announced that the games would incorporate Karate, Climbing, Softball and Baseball into its programme for the 2022 Games.
