日本与国际奥委会在东京奥运会延期费用上产生分歧

东京奥运会的主办方和国际奥委会在为奥运会推迟一年买单的问题上产生了分歧。

东京奥运会的主办方和国际奥委会在为奥运会推迟一年买单的问题上产生了分歧。

争议的核心是国际奥委会网站上一篇被认为是日本首相安倍晋三的一条评论,该评论现已被删除。《日本时报》报道称,这一评论表明安倍同意由日本来承担大部分延期费用。

东京奥组委新闻发言人山下高谷表示,东京奥组委已要求国际奥委会删除这一评论。因为“以这种方式引用首相的名字是不合适的”。

国际奥委会在题为“2020年东京奥运会常见问题”的网页上发表声明称,安倍晋三同意,日本“将继续承担按照现有2020年协议的条款本应承担的费用,国际奥委会将继续只承担自身份额的费用”。

在东京方面提出申诉后,国际奥委会删除了安倍晋三的名字以及任何提及日本财政义务的内容。修改后的版本如下: “日本政府已重申,他们随时准备履行主办成功奥运会的责任。”

双方都没有给出官方估计的延期费用,但东京奥组委首席执行官武藤敏郎表示,延期成本将是“一笔巨大的费用”。据日本媒体报道,这一数字介于20亿至60亿美元之间(18亿至55亿欧元)。

《体育商业》最近报道称,国际奥委会主席托马斯·巴赫表示,由于东京奥运会推迟举办,该组织将面临“数亿美元”的额外成本。
