Repucom and SportBusiness Group each to host a workshop for Federations, Host Cities, Local Organising & Bid Committees

LAUSANNE, Switzerland – SportAccord Convention long-term Partners Repucom and SportBusiness Group (in partnership with 360DIRECT), will each host a workshop at this year’s event taking place at the SwissTech Convention Center in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Repucom will deliver a special workshop entitled Federation Fitness Check: Ensuring Health in a Changing World will begin on Tuesday, 19 April from 16:00-17:30. Repucom experts and representatives from International Federations will examine five key topics central to commercial growth: fans, media, digital, competition and partnership.

Marco Nazzari, Chief Revenue Officer, Europe and Managing Director, Italy, Repucom, said: “Repucom already works with many international federations in a variety of ways, providing commercial consulting and market research solutions, and social media valuation – all based around an independent source of demographic, attitudinal and behavioural data.

“Our ‘fitness check’ is an opportunity for federations to take stock and determine how they can best prepare themselves to meet the challenges of a changing world. We’ll also be joined by representatives of several international federations who’ll share their experiences and discuss a few best practice examples.”

The second workshop hosted by SportBusiness Group and 360DIRECT: SportBusiness Group & 360DIRECT: Effective Event Hosting Planning will take place on Thursday, 21 April from 09:00-10:30. Poor planning around the preparation to host major sports events can be extremely costly both in terms of time and money. SportBusiness Group and 360DIRECT will present a unique integrated suite of customised software and consultancy services, for those involved in the bidding, planning and delivery of major events and then open the floor to questions. The workshop will be of value to those Federations, Host Cities, Local Organising Committees, and Bid Committees wanting to ensure their event is delivered on time and within budget.
