The athletics department of Western Kentucky University has entered into an apparel partnership with US sportswear giant Nike.
The five-year deal begins on July 1 and will run until 2022. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Nike will serve as the official apparel and shoe provider for each of WKU’s 16 athletics teams from the 2017-18 season onwards.
Nike will replace fellow US sportswear brand Russell Athletic as WKU’s official apparel provider. Russell Athletic, which first partnered with the university in 2007, will remain on board as an apparel licensee.
