Dutch pay-television broadcaster Sport1 has acquired rights for the Nascar and IndyCar North American motorsport series.
The lengths of the deals were not confirmed, but Sport1 will provide coverage of both properties until at least the end of 2015.
The additions of Nascar and IndyCar will help to fill the gap left by motorcycling series MotoGP switching from Sport1 to pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport in the Netherlands this year.
Sport1 general manager Will Moerer announced the new deals in an interview in football magazine Voetbal International.
