Polish commercial and pay-television broadcaster Polsat and international sports broadcaster Eleven Sports Network are planning to launch new channels in the country, according to the Press.pl website.
Polsat’s new channel will be themed around combat sports such as boxing and mixed martial arts, with a targeted launch date in August.
“We are constantly developing our offer, including other sports channels, hence the idea for this type of channel,” Polsat spokesman Tomasz Matwiejczuk told Press.pl.
The website added that Eleven Sports Network plans to launch a third channel in Poland by the end of September. Eleven Extra would join the Eleven and Eleven Sports channels currently on offer in the country.
