International sports broadcaster Eurosport and French digital-terrestrial television channel L’Équipe have retained rights in France to events organised by the International Biathlon Union.
The L’Équipe newspaper reported that its channel has retained free-to-air rights for the IBU's World Championships and World Cup events for a further four years, until 2022.
The report added that Eurosport would retain the rights on a pay-per-view basis.
The IBU's previous contract with L’Équipe and Eurosport was due to expire in 2018.
