Port operator DP World has extended its title sponsorship of the European Tour’s end-of-season golf tournament in Dubai.
The new agreement will run for five years, from 2016 to 2020.
It includes renewals of European Tour tournament sponsorships in England, India, Hong Kong, China and Turkey.
The DP World Tour Championship will take place at the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates from November 19-22, featuring the top 60 players on the Race to Dubai series.
DP World’s extended title sponsorship of the tournament through to 2020 dovetails with Dubai’s hosting of Expo 2020, a major industry event that is expected to attract millions of visitors.
