Cleveland Browns sign new broadcast partner

WEWS NewsChannel 5, the ABC affiliate of media company E.W. Scripps, has agreed a multi-year local broadcast rights deal with NFL American football team Cleveland Browns.

WEWS will begin broadcasting the team's preseason games from 2015.  The broadcaster will also air new year-round programming.

NBC-affiliated WKYC makes way for WEWS and more details of the deal will be announced after the conclusion of the 2014 NFL season.

The Browns currently have a 6-4 record to stand fourth in the AFC Northern Division. The team travels to face Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
