China suits up for World Cup qualifying campaign

Italian fashion house Ermenegildo Zegna has entered into a partnership with the Chinese Football Association.

The three-and-a-half-year deal becomes effective on September 1 and will run until January 31, 2020. The agreement names Zegna as an official partner of China’s men’s national team, as well as the U22/U23 side.

As part of the deal, Zegna will provide formalwear and casualwear to Chinese players on international duty. The bespoke clothing line will feature the official CFA badge.

The partnership, which will be supported by a series of marketing campaigns, will begin with China’s 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against South Korea on Thursday. Zegna opened its first flagship Chinese store in Beijing in 1991.
