UK Sport and the British government’s Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) have unveiled a Gold Event Series initiative which aims to attract more than 70 of the world’s most prestigious sporting events to the UK ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
