Deadline for entries nears for ESA European Sponsorship Awards

The European Sponsorship Association (ESA) has announced that the deadline for entries into the 2011 European Sponsorship Awards is now less than two weeks away on September 19.

The only pan-European awards celebrating excellence across all sectors, including sport, culture, entertainment, media, community and corporate responsibility, will comprise two new award categories: Business to Consumer - Media and a Rights Holder Award to reflect the success of a sponsor partnership. The other categories are Business to Business, Business to Consumer - Events, Business to Community, Business to Employee and a Multinational Award.

The award winners will be announced at the ESA Awards Ceremony in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on November 22 as part of the ESA's two-day Future Sponsorship conference. Last year, global and national brands such as AEGON, British Gas, BT, O2 and Philips were crowned as winners and MasterCard was the Multinational award-winner for its UEFA Champions League sponsorship.
