Gillette backs Brazil’s World Tour

Gillette will back the Brazilian national team on the road to the 2014 FIFA World Cup after acquiring the naming rights to the Brazil World Tour.

Brazil has already qualified for the 2014 tournament through hosting the event, and as such the five-time World Cup winners will sharpen their skills by competing in friendly matches around the globe. In addition to the title sponsorship, the deal grants Gillette panel advertising rights, as well as comprehensive corporate hospitality opportunities. The agreement has been brokered by leading sports agency Kentaro.

“We are proud to have brought together two of the world´s most famous brands,” said Kentaro CEO Philipp Grothe. “The Gillette Brazil World Tour offers unprecedented exposure and excitement with the Seleção engaged in numerous glamorous friendly matches in the run-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup. We are looking forward to a great co-operation.”

The next stop on the Gillette Brazil World Tour is Craven Cottage, the home of Barclays Premier League club Fulham, where Brazil takes on Ghana on September 5.
