Sports Revolution links up with Supponor to commercialise DBRLive

Sports Revolution will use its expertise in international media rights sales to maximise demand for DBRLive among rights holders, advertisers and the media community after signing an agreement with Supponor.

DBRLive allows existing in-stadia advertising billboards to be digitally ‘replaced’ in live TV broadcasts, allowing the advertising on the boards to be tailored to local TV audiences across the world.

“We are delighted to be working with Supponor to realise the full commercial potential of this groundbreaking technology,” said Sports Revolution managing director Antony Marcou. “This is a revolution in sports media. It completely changes the model for rights holders, advertisers and sponsors, multiplying the value of rights holders’ events and offering unprecedented flexibility and value for advertisers.”

Supponor CEO Chris Buckley added: “Sports Revolution is a perfect fit culturally and philosophically for Supponor. It’s a dynamic company which understands the value and potential of the football market. Their approach is all about media, not as part of sponsorship but as advertising.”

Buckley added: “International perimeter advertising sales have never existed as a right before. Working with partners like Sports Revolution means we can provide the means for rights holders to capitalise on that opportunity. Perimeter billboard advertising is fundamental to big brands now and is a way of reaching a mass market. DBRLive gives them the ability to segment the market by region and have a global approach.”
