BBVA Compass links up with Mavericks

BBVA Compass has been recruited as an official partner of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) Dallas Mavericks.

BBVA Compass is the US subsidiary of Madrid-based, BBVA Group, which operates in more than 30 countries. BBVA Compass, which ranks among the top 20 largest financial institutions in the United States and the fourth largest bank in Texas, signed a multi-year deal to become the official Bank of the NBA, the Women's NBA and the NBA Development League in the United States, Spain and Puerto Rico in October 2010.

“We are very pleased to be partnering with the Dallas Mavericks, an organisation that epitomises innovation, provides its fans with a customer-friendly experience and is committed to improving the local communities around the Metroplex,” said BBVA Compass CEO Manolo Sanchez.

As the NBA campaign reaches the post-season, BBVA Compass has activated the deal by taking the Team Works on Tour program to the Dallas area where fans of all ages will have the opportunity to shoot, slam, dribble and drive on two different custom basketball courts.
